A Quiz focused on SDGs

Involving all stakeholders responsible to raise India’s SDGs score. India’s score on SDG in the last 3 years has been very low and it is time to collaborate and raise India’s ranking.

The SDGs can only be achieved by 2030 if collaborative approach is adopted. The quiz focussed on SDG brings both NGOs and Corporates together to collaborate who are actually are responsible for the ranking of SDGs.

Why learning Center

The Bridge India post covid has realised the importance of education specially in the rural communities. We all have witnessed that during covid children from weaker section of the society neither had laptops nor smartphones therefore their education had taken a back seat. Having seen the challenges and education taken back seat The Bridge Trust realised how important it is to establish center of digital excellence . The youth of India is its untapped potential. Around 66% of the total population is below the age of 35.

Nearly 40% of the Indian population is aged 13 to 35 years Youth constitute a large chunk of the Indian workforce, yet 80% don't possess any employable skills. Moreover, inn India, girls' education is often considered the lowest priority; particularly, a girl's higher education. In January 2023 we have started providing education to 50 children comprising of 31 girls and 19 boys in Gautampuri area, Delhi

Objective

  • All children complete formal schooling without any drop out.
  • Creating awareness amongst children on importance of vocational education and guide them based on their interest and aptitude.
  • Improvement in Computer and Soft Skills of children.
  • Equipping children with Life Skills

Activities Undertaken

  • Academic support to children through remedial tutorial program.
  • Children are provided with tuitions after school based on their need with support of qualified tutors.
  • Parenting
  • An awareness program was organised for mothers and grandmothers to increase awareness among them for adopting best parenting practices in child development including health, nutrition, and activities of children to supports and enhance their child’s overall development.
  • Child Rights & Responsibilities
  • The Bridge Trust organised a workshop on Child Rights and Responsibilities for children to make them aware of their rights and responsibilities.
  • Session on Self Awareness
  • Session focussed on increasing the children’s awareness on the imminent need to focus on themselves first and foremost and also to make the optimum utilization of time available at their disposal. The message was driven home through series of activities enjoyed by the children.
